Spanning 200,000 sq.ft. of facility area with 180,337 sq.ft. within the LEED certification boundary, the certified project integrates multiple buildings including the Denim Unit, Knitting Unit (Dying Hall and Service Bay), Canteen, and Masjid, delivered as a comprehensive sustainable industrial campus.
SIDEworks delivered the project under a focused scope of LEED Certification, Sustainability Strategy, and Commissioning Support, working alongside the Sadaqat Limited design team to embed high-performance sustainability into a major industrial facility from early design through final certification.
The facility's energy performance is its defining achievement. Whole-building simulation and optimised building systems earned the maximum 18 out of 18 points for energy optimisation, achieving approximately 80% energy cost savings against baseline at certification, among the highest reported for LEED-certified industrial facilities in South Asia. On-site renewable energy generation offsets nearly 80% of total building energy cost, complemented by full green power and carbon offset procurement.
Water stewardship strategies eliminated outdoor water demand entirely through rainwater management and natural landscape strategies. Indoor water consumption was reduced by over 50% beyond international baselines through high-efficiency fixture specifications across the manufacturing, dining, and prayer facilities.
The site strategy reflects comprehensive engagement with location and transportation sustainability, achieving full points in Quality Transit access with over 400 weekly transit trips, full points in Bicycle Facilities, Reduced Parking Footprint, and Green Vehicles infrastructure. Regional Priority Credits were maximised at 4 out of 4, confirming precise alignment with locally significant sustainability priorities. A perfect Innovation score of 6 out of 6, including exemplary performance recognition in Heat Island Reduction and Renewable Energy Production, establishes Sadaqat Limited Faisalabad as a benchmark for high-performance industrial sustainability in Pakistan's textile sector.
